Future Plus
Future Plus is the newly created customer publishing agency of Future US and will operate primarily within the market sectors that Future has its strong heritage e.g. Games, Technology, Entertainment and Music. We create exceptional branded content across multiple channels – magazines, websites, newsletters, mobile communications and direct marketing. In the UK we have grown from $750,000 turnover in 2004 to over $12 Million projection for 2007 and we expect faster growth in the US market.
The Account Manager's function within Future Plus is to manage the operational aspects of key client magazine accounts, and deliver on or above client expectation to agreed briefs and sets of objectives. This role requires high levels of responsibility and decision-making illustrated by having bottom line responsibility for the overall profitability of all accounts.
This includes the maintenance of existing revenues and the implementation of revenue growth strategies working closely with the Account Director / Group Account Director. Targets will be set annually and monitored on an ongoing basis.
Essential knowledge & experience
o A proven track record of client account management
o Experience in implementing account management strategies
o Understanding of the magazine as a communication tool
o Understanding of editorial and production processes
o Extensive face to face presentation experience
Essential skills & abilities
o Strong motivation and a positive approach to researching and analysing new business opportunities
o Excellent report-writing, analytical and project management skills with acute attention to detail
o Strong communication skills in all disciplines including written, oral, email and presenting
o Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions
o Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
o Negotiation & sales skills
o Financial reporting & budget responsibility
o The ability to build strong relationships with clients
o The ability to understand a client’s strategic objectives and to convert this into a written brief
o Proven staff management and delegation skills
Desirable knowledge & experience
o Experience of working in the customer publishing industry
o Experience of working in an agency environment
o Demonstrable understanding of the principles of Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
